Before all, our maxim has always been:
"We DON'T raid to gear up... We gear up so we, as a team, can raid."
Your officer team has had long deliberations and discussion threads in order to structure the new DKP and loot distribution system. We have decided on the following DKP mechanics (below) which we feel will serve our guild's raiding efforts the best and is as fair to everyone as possible. Some changes and tweaks have been put in place since WotLK so please read carefully.
DKP will only be earened/spent in 25man progression (Wed/Thurs/Sun) raids and will not include Baradin Hold.
DKP will be revised and updated when we unlock Heroic content.
Earning DKP
1 DKP - Attendance - In raid and ready to go by raid start time on the dot. If you're still sorting gems/enchants/consumables, you will not receive this dkp. If you do not sign up via the in-game calender, u will not receive this dkp.
1 DKP per hour in raid
*Additional DKP may be awarded at the Raid Leader's discretion
*Double DKP awarded for those that show up if a raid is called
*Sunday is always Double DKP
Spending DKP - DKP prices are determened according to Itemlevel and, now, Item Type.

20% Weekly Decay occuring after Sunday raid and before Wednesday raid.
Loot Priority within DKP
-Higher DKP = Higher priority per group level
-Officers can decide to override this priority via Loot Council.

Special Items (ie Mounts & Legendaries)
Distribution of these items will be decided by Officer decision.

1. Where can I view my DKP?

2. How will Offspec Loot work?
While Offspec loot will not cost DKP, certain toons will be given Offspec loot priority for their offspec roles. Please refer to the Raider signup thread for a list of Raiders with sanctioned Offspecs.
3. How will sidegrades be handled?
Sidegrades will count as upgrades. If you want an Item, you will pay DKP for it. Mages/Hunters/Locks/Rogues do not have offspec roles and, therefore, will pay DKP for every item.
4. Will we be implementing DKP for 10mans?
We will not be implementing DKP for 10man raids nor for 25man alts/casual/pug raids. Loot in these raids will be distributed as the Raid Leader decides.
5. What will our new raiding calendar for the week look like?
Wed/Thurs/Sun - 25man raids
Fri/Sat/Mon - Off nights, 10man raids
6. Why have we increased the weekly decay rate?
With the removal of Offspec DKP, we felt the need to further stress the question of "What have you done for the guild RECENTLY?". We feel that this increase in decay will further encourage consistent attendance as well as hinder DKP stock-piling.
7. There is an error with my DKP earned/spent. How do I fix this?
Please contact Rezdan (PST, In-game Mail, Forum Message) detailing the error. We do make misakes. ;)
8. How will Legendary items be distributed?
Of those eligible, Legendary items will be awarded as per our normal Loot Priority (GM/Officer/Veteran > Raider > Member > Initiate) with the additional determining factor being EARNED DKP, not Current DKP.
9. Will DKP be reset with the introduction of new Raid tiers?
This is ultimately up to the current leadership, but will likely be implemented through a high percentage (75%-90%) DKP Decay for that week. This ensures that DKP Earned and Attendance is still applicable across raid tiers.
